Wario is the zigzag mustachioed anti-hero of Nintendo's "Wario Land" and "Wario Ware" series, first appearing as an antagonist in the 1992 platformer title "Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins". A childhood rival jealous of the Mario brothers success, Wario often undertakes plots of one-upmanship from placing curses on their property to setting up his own video game development company. He isn't so much evil as he is reckless, macho and a little weird.
Wario first appeared in the Smash franchise as a fighter in "Super Smash Bros.: Brawl". He is voiced by Charles Martinet. In Smash 4, Wario is a floaty heavyweight fighter with surprising mobility, deceptive range, solid approach options and powerful (though vulnerable) KO finishers.
