Lucario Picture

Lucario is the brooding fighting/steel Pokemon that first appeared in Game Freak's 2006 Nintendo DS titles "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl".  It is the evolved form of Riolu.  Lucario can sense and manipulate a mysterious power connected to the Tree of Origin called "Aura", giving it special powers of clairvoyance and the ability to create powerful energy spheres.

Lucario first appeared in the Smash series with "Super Smash Bros.: Brawl".  It is voiced by Sean Schemmel.  In Smash 4, Lucario is a well-rounded mediumweight character with strong attacks, useful projectiles, good aerial mobility and recovery.  Despite some lag and combo vulnerability, Lucario's Aura gives it multiplied power at higher damage ranges, which combined with the rage mechanic rewards riskier play.  Lucario players must be vigilantly mindful as its moveset, best options and optimal gameplay style changes significantly with Aura.
