Link is the Hylian hero of Nintendo's "Legend of Zelda" franchise, debuting in the 1986 Nintendo Entertainment System title "The Legend of Zelda". Wielding the legendary Master Sword and sporting a stylish Phrygian cap, Link battles against the evil forces of Ganondorf to save Princess Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule.
Link has appeared in every iteration of the Smash franchise. He is voiced by Akira Sasanuma. In Smash 4, Link is a heavyweight fighter with a bevy of neutral controlling projectiles and a powerful disjointed sword reach for safe attacks. Despite attack lag and limited mobility, Link sports various useful mechanics that can increase his speed and combo potential, making him a viable threat.
