Dr. Mario

Dr. Mario is the pill-tossing hero of the 1990 Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy falling-block tile-matching game "Dr. Mario".  In this multi-level puzzle game, Mario assumes the role of a doctor combating viruses with pills that, when matched against viruses of the same color, can cause the viruses to disappear, which can be strategically manipulated for combos.

Dr. Mario made his Smash debut in "Super Smash Bros.: Melee".  He is voiced by Charles Martinet.  In Smash 4, Dr. Mario is a well-rounded fighter with average power, speed, projectiles and recovery.  Dr. Mario has different moves with different properties and is overall tweaked in many subtle ways from his normal plumber counterpart, however; he is stronger yet less mobile, has greater range on some attacks and more lag on others, etc.
