Summary
Sticky Sliding is a movement option technique that allows you to generate a slide out of a dash turnaround by holding the C-Stick forward with proper timing. Any attack, tilt, grab or shield option can be performed out of this slide.
Requirements
- All characters except Zero Suit Samus can perform this technique
- The usefulness and length of the slide varies between characters
How To Perform
- Dash in a direction.
- Perform a turnaround by holding analog stick in the opposite direction.
- Hold C-Stick forward. The later you hold it, the longer you'll slide (don't perform too late, however, or you'll perform a dash attack).
- If performed correctly, your character will then slide a distance.
Uses
- Can use as a dash turnaround followup/mixup to generate a slide out of which any attack, tilt, grab or shield can be performed, perhaps unexpectedly
- Can use as a movement option following a whiffed execution of other movement options (perfect pivot, extended dash dance, etc.)
Pros & Cons
- Useful movement option
- Easy to perform
- Vulnerable during the turnaround
- If executed incorrectly or with improper timing, might perform dash attack and potentially become vulnerable
