When performed within the first 4 frames of a dash, the first 2 frames of a forward roll can be cancelled into a grab, generating an extended grab with greater range and reach than a normal dash grab.

How To Perform
- Hold analog stick forward to begin a dash.
- Within the first 4 frames of the dash, continue holding analog stick forward and press shield to cancel into a forward roll
- Within the first 2 frames of the forward roll, continue to hold shield and press the attack button to cancel the roll into a grab.
- If executed correctly, your grab will cover more distance with greater range than a regular dash grab.
Uses
- Can use to extend range of grabs
- Can use for some characters to gain extra distance for a cross-up pivot grab on shielding opponent
