Mewtwo Picture

Mewtwo is the artificially created psychic Pokemon first appearing in Game Freaks' 1996 Game Boy titles "Pokemon Red" & "Pokemon Blue".  Mewtwo is genetically based on its legendary predecessor, Mew.  Initially created in a laboratory and controlled in a robotic suit for battle purposes by Team Rocket's leader Giovanni, Mewtwo eventually grows despondent of humanity and escapes with the aim of conquering the world.  It experiences a change of heart when Ash Ketchum sacrifices himself on behalf of his Pokemon, and leaves with Mew and other cloned Pokemon to find a place of its own.

Mewtwo first appeared as a fighter in the Smash franchise in "Super Smash Bros.: Melee".  It is voiced by Keiji Fujiwara.  In Smash 4, Mewtwo is a floaty lightweight with good power, range and projectiles.  Despite having hitbox and combo vulnerability, Mewtwo has great mobility, speed and safe recovery.
